The Brookline Recreation department is seeking qualified, energetic, and compassionate candidates for the 2024 summer camp season. Previous experience with camp programming or previous counselor experience is preferred. Hourly rates are based on camp position. The Summer Camp program will run from July 1, 2024 to August 16, 2024 at three elementary schools in Brookline, Ma.

Staff are required to attend 3 days of mandatory training during the week of June 26 – June 28 with specific schedules to be determined. Below is a brief description of the open positions. HEAD COUNSELOR

• Schedule: July 1, 2024 to August 16, 2024; M-F: 8:15am to 3:15pm
• Pay Rate: $19 per hour
• Requirements: Must be minimum 18 years’ old
• General Responsibilities: Primary caregiver for each camper in assigned group. Manage/Supervise Counselors, LITs, which includes the continual training of the staff. Direct, supervise and organize campers throughout daily activities. Be responsible for the welfare of each individual in the group and do all possible to resolve problems. Will take part in swim lessons with campers.
