The Town of Brookline is seeking a collaborative and detail-oriented Assistant Chief Procurement Officer to join the Purchasing Division. This critical role supports the procurement of goods, services, and equipment for both Town and School departments, ensuring legal compliance and fiscal responsibility. The ideal candidate will provide expert guidance to departments, manage complex procurements and contracts, and lead cost-saving initiatives, including cooperative purchasing and centralized procurement.

Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in business administration or related field and three to five years of procurement experience including bid analysis, contract management, vendor evaluation, negotiations, etc.; experience utilizing an automated purchasing system preferred; or any equivalent combination of education and experience. Must have a strong knowledge of Massachusetts procurement laws, municipal purchasing, and sourcing strategies, as well as excellent communication, analytical, and project management skills.
Special Requirements: Certified Purchasing Manager (CPM) and MAPPO certification required
