Funded through the Massachusetts PHE grant program, the MPHC strengthens equitable public health service delivery by sharing resources, coordinating staffing, and developing regional approaches to community health.

This role provides administrative, supervisory, and professional leadership to ensure effective coordination and delivery of shared public health services across participating communities. The Shared Services Manager also oversees grant administration, budget management, and reimbursement processes that support regional public health operations.

  • Prepare, manage, and submit grant reports, deliverables, and related budgets; develop annual budgets for MPHC Advisory approval; ensure timely expense monitoring and compliance with grant reporting requirements.
  • Coordinate and facilitate collaborative meetings and represent MPHC at local, regional, and statewide forums.
  • Supervise MPHC staff and interns; collaborate with partner communities on staff direction, performance expectations, and shared priorities.
  • Coordinate work activities of regional staff, including Senior Public Health Specialist(s) and the Epidemiologist.
  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with municipal leaders, public health professionals, human services agencies, and community-based organizations.
  • Support partner communities in designing and implementing public health initiatives such as training, credentialing, communications, community outreach, research projects, advocacy, and grant writing.
  • Collect and report required public health data to the Massachusetts Department of Public Health; participate in regular check-ins with the Office of Local and Regional Health.
  • Performs all other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in public health, health administration, environmental health science, social work, or a related field; Master’s in Public Health (MPH) or related field preferred; three to five years of related public health or health administration experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
