Temporary Marketing/Office Assistant

The Town of Brookline is seeking a temporary Marketing/Office Assistant for the Brookline Recreation Department. The Recreation Department serves the town in providing active recreation programs and services for the town of Brookline. The Administrative Marketing/Office Assistant will assist in active social media campaigns, assist in marketing outreach, assist customers over the phone and in person with registration, and support administrative functions, including invoices and billing as needed. Ability to develop and maintain positive and effective communication with the community; create a welcoming and supportive environment in the office. Bachelorís degree in marketing preferred, plus at least two years of marketing and administrative office experience; or any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.  Knowledge of current marketing and social media trends as well as office practices and procedures is required.  Ability to organize time and accomplish task with accuracy and attention to detail is a must.  Experience in using, developing, and implementing professional social media in a work setting is strongly preferred. Valid Massachusetts Driverís License required. Starting Salary $20.00 per hour. Resume and Cover letter June 26, 2018.
