The Town of Brookline Public Works Department is seeking a skilled Fleet Technician (Mechanic) to join our Highway Division maintenance team. The Highway Division maintains all Public Works vehicles and equipment, as well as vehicles of 10 other departments. Performs routine preventive maintenance and inspections of trucks and equipment, including checking brakes, suspensions, and steering components; change oil and check fluid and grease equipment; respond to equipment breakdowns and conduct field repairs. Operate heavy equipment and trucks; use hand, pneumatic and power tools; lift transmissions, truck tires, and other truck parts.

Qualifications:

High School Diploma; plus technical training; at least 2 years of heavy truck and equipment maintenance and repair experience required. MA Comm. Driver's License, Class B, MA Hoisting License.
