The Jack Kirrane Ice Rink in Brookline is now hiring for seasonal Rink Managers. The ice rink is expected to open in December through February, weather dependent. Assigned shift and vacation week availability is a must.
The Ice Rink Managers will assist with the management and operation of the Jack Kirrane Ice Skating Rink. Ensure all staff and skaters are following protocols. Help assemble the staff schedule for each week and effectively communicate schedule to staff. Supervise part-time staff and volunteers. Call rental groups 1 week prior to their reservation to confirm the details of their rental and provide solid customer service. Coordinate with Parks Department during times of inclement weather to ensure optimum use of the skating rink while providing up-to-date and accurate closure details to the public when necessary. Ensure that the facility is clean and well prepared for all rentals and public skating hours. Prior experience in customer service preferred.

Typical Weekly Hours: Tuesday: 8:30 AM to 12:30 PM, Thursday: 8:30 AM to 12:30 PM, Friday: 9:00 AM to 3:30 PM
*Weekday field trips when necessary
Weekend Opening Manager:
Typical weekly hours: Saturday: 7:00 AM to 12:00 PM, Sunday: 7:00 AM to 12:00 PM
Daytime Manager:
Typical weekly hours: Saturday: 12:00 PM to 5:00 PM, Sunday: 12:00 PM to 5:00 PM
Opening/Daytime Manager Duties:
Open facility and make sure it is clean and ready for guests
Ensure computers and software are working properly – appropriate change available to operate effectively
Check voicemails and respond to customer inquiries
Serve as point of contact for customer questions or issues that arise during shift
Reconcile cash at end of shift – secure facility when necessary
Weekday Closing Manager(s)
Typical weekly hours: Monday: 7:00 PM to 11:00 PM, Tuesday: 7:00 PM to 10:30 PM, Wednesday: 7:00 PM to 11:00 PM, Thursday: 7:00 PM to 11:30 PM, Friday: 7:00 PM to 10:00 PM
Weekend Closing Manager
Typical weekend hours: Saturday: 5:00 PM to 11:00 PM, Sunday: 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM
Closing Manager Duties:
Make sure facility is clean and ready for guests
Ensure computers and software are working properly – appropriate change available to operate effectively
Serve as point of contact for customer questions or issues that arise during shift
Reconcile cash at end of shift – secure facility
